Incredibly fragrant, tasty, with a crispy crust, almond cookies can be prepared easily and simply! The benefit of almonds is primarily associated with a high level of vitamin E. This vitamin is one of the main antioxidants. Such a nut has a good effect on the skin, hair, nervous system and normalizes the work of the whole body.

Preheat the oven to 110 C. Grate the orange peel on a fine grater. Put the sugar in a small saucepan, pour 40 ml of water and boil the caramel syrup.

Grind almonds into flour with a blender. Mix chopped almonds with orange peel and three tablespoons of wheat flour.

Add sugar syrup, mix everything to the state of large crumbs and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Beat the egg whites with 120 g of powdered sugar, add the mass to the almond dough, pour in the baking powder and mix.

Form cookies with a tablespoon and roll them in cornmeal mixed with powdered sugar. Place the cookies on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.

Almond cookies taste good with warm milk, tea or coffee. Bon appetit!
