Apricot liqueur on vodka

Make apricot liqueur at home, anyone who has a sufficient number of fruits can do it. The cooking technology is very simple. The result will be a fragrant drink with a beautiful rich color.

For the liqueur, Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) suggests using ripe apricots of any variety, preferably sweet. First, you need to sort through the fruits, removing rotten, spoiled and moldy ones. Then wash well and dry.

A recipe for making liqueur from apricots on vodka

  • apricots – 1 kg.
  • sugar – 1 kg.
  • vodka (moonshine, diluted alcohol 40-45%) – 1 liter.

Wash the apricots well, dry them, remove the pits, put them in a jar and fill them with vodka. Close tightly and dry in a warm, sunny place for 3-4 weeks.

Strain the dried vodka through cheesecloth (do not wring it out). Pour the liquid into a bottle, close tightly.

Put the apricot pulp back in the jar, cover with sugar, shake well, cover with a lid and leave again in a warm, sunny place for 10-14 days (shake once every 1-2 days so that the sugar dissolves better).

Strain the sweet tincture through cheesecloth, this time squeezing the apricots well.

Mix both liquids, pour into bottles, seal tightly. Before tasting, it is advisable to keep it for another 5-7 days in a dark, cold place. It tastes good chilled.
