Baked mackerel Goldfish

Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) suggests cooking fish according to a special recipe – goldfish. Baked mackerel “Goldfish” – easy to prepare, even a novice housewife can do it. And the aroma from cooking will gather everyone in the kitchen long before the dish is ready.

Recipe for cooking mackerel “Golden fish”

  • mackerel (frozen) – 500 g.
  • potatoes (boiled) – 200 g.
  • mushrooms – 150 g.
  • onion – 2 pieces.
  • garlic – 1 clove.
  • processed cheese – 100 g.
  • hard cheese – 100 g.
  • olive oil.
  • soy sauce – 1 dessert spoon.
  • salt.
  • black pepper
  • seasoning (herbs of Italian cuisine).

We cut the mackerel along the belly, remove the entrails, bones and gills. Lubricate it with olive oil and soy sauce and leave for 20-30 minutes. Cut the onion into cubes, chop the garlic. Cut the mushrooms in the same way. Fry onion and garlic in olive oil. Fry the mushrooms separately.

Peel the potatoes, cut them lengthwise, cut out hearts with the help of a mold, which we fry in the same way. (this step is not mandatory). Peel the boiled potatoes and rub them on a fine grater. Melted and hard cheese are also grated on a fine grater.

After we have prepared all the ingredients, we start the main process. We put the mackerel on a baking sheet lined with foil and previously greased with olive oil, pepper it and sprinkle with dry herbs.

Put fried onions and garlic on the fish. Melted cheese is on top, fried mushrooms are placed on top of the cheese. And on top boiled potatoes, which are salted and peppered. Now cover the potatoes with grated hard cheese.

Everything is ready, it remains only to bake the fish in the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
