Baked quince

The quince is already ripening. If you just pluck this fruit from the tree, not everyone will be able to eat it, because quince itself is sour and astringent. Smakota (SmakotaInfo.com) offers to prepare baked quince. A very tasty and sweet dessert with a tart-sour shade.

Ingredients for cooking baked quince:

  • quince – 4 pcs.
  • sugar – 100 g.
  • oil – 150 g.
  • lemon – 1 pcs.

Preparation of baked quince:

We choose large, ripe quince fruits. Wash well under running water. Cut into two parts, remove the core and seeds. Squeeze juice from 1 lemon.

We take a baking form, grease it with oil and sprinkle with sugar. Place the quince cut side up on the form. Put 1 tsp in the middle of each piece of quince. butter and sugar. Sprinkle sugar on top and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Heat the oven to 180°C.

Cover the form with foil on top and send the quince to the oven to bake for 20 minutes. We open the quince and bake for another 20 minutes so that it browns a little.
