Bean and mushroom pate

Ingredients for making pate from beans and mushrooms:

  • beans – 500 g.
  • fresh mushrooms – 200 g.
  • garlic – 2-4 cloves.
  • onion – 1 pcs.
  • butter – 1 tbsp.
  • oil – 2 tbsp.
  • thyme, oregano – 1/2 tsp.
  • salt and ground black pepper – to taste.

Preparation of pate from beans and mushrooms:

Pre-boil the beans. To do this, soak it in cold water in advance for two to three hours, or even better overnight. Then boil it until the beans are cooked. At the end of cooking, add salt.

Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry until transparent in a mixture of oil and butter. So that the taste of the pate is not spoiled, fry the onion carefully so that it does not burn.

Wash the mushrooms, chop finely. Add to the onion. Fry until done.

Add boiled beans, mix everything well. Salt, pepper, add thyme and oregano and pour 100 ml of water. Cover with a lid, reduce the heat and leave to simmer for up to 20 minutes.

Put everything in a blender and beat until smooth. We make sure that there are no lumps. If necessary, you can add a little water or broth.
