Prepare fragrant and unsurpassed bread with herbs. The basis for the dough is the same as in the standard recipes, but the filling will surprise you: garlic, basil, parsley, sorrel. It takes your breath away, how delicious it sounds. Therefore, cook and be surprised!

Recipe for bread with herbs

Let’s start cooking bread with herbs from kneading the dough. Mix the flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Pour in half the water and mix everything until smooth, then add the remaining water a little at a time. You should have a pretty stiff dough. Add olive oil and knead the dough again, forming it into a ball. Lay out the dough for bread with herbs on a floured work surface and knead with your hands for another 7 minutes. When the dough becomes smooth and elastic, shape it into a ball again and return it to the bowl. Cover with cling film and leave in a warm place for 1-1,5 hours until it doubles in size.

And while the dough is “resting”, we will prepare the filling for bread with herbs. Finely chop all the greens, chop the garlic, and grate the cheese on a fine grater.

When the dough for bread with herbs rise, mix it lightly in a bowl, then divide it into two parts. Roll out each part into a rectangle measuring 50×25 cm. Grease the layers of dough with butter and sprinkle with garlic, greens and grated cheese. Divide each rectangle into 4 parts along the long side, and into 3 along the short side and cut. Stack the formed squares one on top of the other, you should get a tower (or you can just roll out the dough, spread the filling and roll it up like a roll).

Grease a 10×25 cm rectangular bread pan with oil. Place the tower of dough on its side in the pan. cover bread with herbs towel and leave for 30 minutes to stand.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Put the form with bread with herbs in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes. Remove the bread from the oven and leave for 5 minutes. Then remove from the mold and cool. Done!
