Broccoli and cauliflower pie

Tasty and useful pie with broccoli and cauliflower perfect for a family dinner! Very easy pie recipe! The pastry turns out juicy and nutritious. It is not difficult to prepare such a stuffed broccoli pie. And it will be appreciated by those who follow a proper diet.

Broccoli and cauliflower pie – ingredients

  • Broccoli cabbage – 800 g.
  • Cauliflower – 200 g.
  • Cheese – 100 g.
  • Carrot – 1 pc.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 10 g.
  • Ground black pepper – to taste.
  • Salt to taste.

  • Wheat flour – 150 g.
  • Baking powder for dough – 10 g.
  • Oil – 4 tbsp.
  • Salt – 1 tsp.

Broccoli and cauliflower pie – recipe

First, prepare the cabbage. In total, you will need 1 kg of broccoli and/or cauliflower in any ratio for the pie. We have 800 g of broccoli and 200 g of cauliflower. We use frozen cabbage that was previously thawed at room temperature. If the cabbage inflorescences are large, it is advisable to cut them into smaller pieces.

Cut 1 onion into rings. Grate 1 carrot on a fine grater. Place chopped onions in a heated pan with a small amount of oil. Fry until golden.

Add the grated carrot to the onion, saute for another 2 minutes. Remove the finished roast from the heat. Grease the baking form with butter. The size of our form is 26 cm * 39 cm.

We put the prepared cabbage florets in the form. Here we add vegetable roasting. Salt everything to taste and pepper with ground black pepper. Distribute the vegetables evenly over the entire form.

We are preparing the filling for the pie. Break 3 eggs into a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of salt without a pinch of salt. Beat everything a little. Here, to the eggs, pour 400 ml of milk and 4 tablespoons of oil. Mix everything. Pour 150 g of flour and 10 g of baking powder into this mixture. Mix everything again until smooth. Pour the prepared mixture evenly over the vegetables. Grate 100 g of cheese on a coarse grater. We use cheddar cheese.

Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the cake. All this is sent to the oven heated to 180 degrees. Bake for about 35-40 minutes. Cut the finished baked cake into portioned pieces and serve it on the table when it has cooled down a little.

It is prepared simply and always turns out. Frozen broccoli can be replaced with fresh, but then it needs to be boiled a little.
