Cabbage druns

Of course, we all know that deruns are made from potatoes. But today we will prepare deruns according to an unusual recipe (that is why the word is written in quotation marks) – cabbage rolls. Cabbage “deruns” are fragrant and rich in taste. Be sure to try it!

Cabbage “deruns” – ingredients

  • Cabbage – 400 g.
  • Onion – 1 piece.
  • Carrot – 1 piece.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.
  • Parsley and dill greens – 30 g.
  • Salt, pepper – to taste.
  • Flour – 4-5 tbsp.
  • Coriander – to taste.
  • Oil.

Cabbage “deruns” – cooking recipe

Finely chop the cabbage, lightly knead it with salt.

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater, cut the onion into small cubes, finely chop the garlic.

Wash the greens well, finely chop.

Mix cabbage, carrots, onions, garlic and greens in one large bowl. Add eggs, salt and pepper to taste, add flour and mix well.

Spoon the cabbage mass onto a heated frying pan with oil and fry on both sides until golden brown.

We put the finished “deruns” on a paper towel to get rid of excess fat.

“Deruna” are served hot with sour cream or your favorite sauce to the table.
