Prepare a cake “Spruce house” using the cherry that you have saved: fresh, frozen, in its own juice, or candied. Experiment! It will be perfect in any case.

“Smrekova Khata” cake – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Margarine – 200
  • Sour cream – 300
  • Flour – 4 cups.
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup.
  • Soda – 1 tsp
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 bag.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • For the filling:
  • Cherries (frozen or fresh) – 700 g.
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp.
  • For the cream:
  • Oil – 250
  • Condensed milk – 2 cans.

The recipe for the “Smrekova hut” cake

Let’s start cooking “Smrekova hut” cake from the preparation of the dough. Rub the softened margarine with sugar, sour cream, flour and soda (dissolve the soda beforehand – about 1-1,5 tsp, vinegar). Knead a stiff dough and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Now let’s do the cherry on the cake. If the cherry is frozen, thaw it and drain the juice. If you have jam, open it and drain the juice again. If you use fresh cherries, wash them and squeeze out the seeds.

When the time is up, take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into 15 equal parts. Roll out a rectangle measuring 20×7 cm. Place the cherries close to each other on the cake and fasten the ends well. If you use fresh or frozen cherries, sprinkle them with a little sugar on top. The finished “log” is lightly sprinkled with flour on top. We carry out this operation with all pieces of dough.

Bake the “logs” until golden at 200 degrees.

Prepare the cream. Mix condensed milk and softened butter and beat with a blender until smooth.

Now we add “Smrekova hut” cake. We lay out “logs” 5x4x3x2x1 and generously grease each layer with cream. The top of the cake is also smeared with cream. Leave the cake overnight in the refrigerator to let it soak. If desired, you can use sour cream for this cake, it will also taste great.

Here is the finished cake “Spruce house”. And decorate the cake with grated or melted chocolate.
