Cake with apples on egg whites – one of the best and tastiest ideas about using (utilizing) proteins. Tender protein sponge cake is covered with hot apple mass. The cake turns out tender, soft, moist, very tasty.

Such a recipe is very necessary for the Easter holidays, when there are many proteins left after baking pascha.

Cake with apples on egg whites – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Squirrels – 8 pieces.
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • Sugar – 8 tbsp.
  • Oil – 6 tbsp.
  • Flour – 8 heaped tbsp.
  • For apple mass:
  • Apples – 1 kg.
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon – ΒΌ tsp.
  • Cream pudding – 1 package.
  • Water – 150 ml.

Beat the egg whites to a stable foam, add sugar a spoonful at a time, beating well each time. Add oil, mix with a spoon.

Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift to the whites, beat briefly at the lowest speed of the mixer. We divide the dough into two equal parts, put them in 2 forms (21×36), lined with parchment. Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. We are cooling.

We cut each cake in half, we get 4 cakes with a size of 18×21.

Apple mass

Peel the apples, rub them on a coarse grater, put them in a saucepan, pour 50 ml of water, simmer under the lid for 15 minutes. Add sugar and cinnamon, mix.

Dissolve the pudding in 100 ml of water. Remove the apples from the heat, pour in the pudding, stirring constantly. Put the mass on the fire again, bring to a boil.

Spread the hot apple mass (5 tbsp. with bitter for 1 cake) on the cake, then lightly press it with the next cake. After complete cooling, put the cake in a cold place for 3 hours.

Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
