Carrot halva

Do you want to enjoy sweets, but not harm your health and figure? We offer you to cook with us unusual halva from carrots and delicious side dishes! Such a snack can be given to a child at school, or taken with him for a coffee break at the office.


Preparation of carrot halva

Soak raisins in 2 tbsp. spoons of boiled water. Peel the carrot and grate it on a fine grater.

In a heavy deep pan, heat the butter and fry the cashew nuts. Place the nuts on a paper towel to remove excess oil, then chop with a knife or grind in a mortar.

Wipe the pan with a paper towel, put grated carrots and coconut shavings in it and, stirring, fry for 5-10 minutes. Add sugar, a pinch of salt and heat for another 10 minutes, stirring all the time.

Add nuts and raisins, mix and remove from heat. Line the form with baking paper, greased with butter, spread the halva, distribute it evenly and leave it for several hours, then cut it into small squares.

Drinks that go well with halva

  1. Warm tea with lemon.
  2. Stewed fruit.
  3. Apricot compote.
  4. Milk with honey.
