Chicken gizzard soup with cucumbers

Harmony of taste, a successful taste combination of chicken gizzards, cream and sourness of cucumbers, just an unusual taste. This is what we will cook with you today soup on chicken stomachs with cucumbers.

Chicken gizzard soup with cucumbers – ingredients

  • Broth (or water) – 2 l.
  • Chicken stomachs – 300 g.
  • Onion – 1 piece.
  • Potatoes – 2 pieces.
  • Pickled cucumber – 4 pieces (medium).
  • Cucumber brine – ½ cup.
  • Oil – 3 tbsp.
  • Cream – 80 ml.
  • Allspice – 4 pieces.
  • Bay leaf – 2 pieces.
  • Green onion – 4 tbsp.
  • Salt pepper.

Soup on chicken stomachs with cucumbers – preparation

Wash the ventricles well, remove all excess, cut into pieces and pour boiling water or hot broth. Add a whole onion and cook until the ventricles are ready. We take out the onion, we won’t need it anymore.

Cut the potatoes into cubes, grate the carrots on a fine grater, add to the boiling broth. Add a bay leaf and cook until the vegetables are ready.

Grate the cucumbers on a fine grater. Put a piece of butter on the pan and fry the cucumbers on it for 2-3 minutes. Add cucumbers to the broth. Pour in cucumber brine and oil (if you are cooking on water). Cook for another 10-15 minutes. Salt and pepper, add cream, remove from heat. Sprinkle green onions on the plate.
