Chicken salad with radish

Tsey chicken salad with radish not at all boring as you might think. The spicy mixture of tender chicken meat and slightly spicy radish makes it unpredictable in spring. Moreover, given the small number of ingredients, even variations on one of them reveal the dish in a completely new way. Try it chicken and radish salad recipe – and you will want to cook it almost every day.

Chicken salad with radish – ingredients (4 servings)

  • Chicken fillet (breasts) – 700 g.
  • Radishes (medium size) – 8–10 pcs.
  • Apple – 1 pc.
  • Green onion – a small bunch.
  • Celery – 2 stalks.
  • Watercress salad – 1 cup.
  • Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp.
  • Sour cream – 1/4 cup.
  • Salt and ground black pepper – to taste.

Chicken salad with radish – preparation

Fill a medium-sized saucepan halfway with water. Bring to a boil and add 1 teaspoon of salt.

Put the chicken fillet (without skin and bones) in boiling water, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook until ready. This will take about 10-12 minutes.

Remove the chicken and let it cool. After that, disassemble into pieces or fibers – whichever you prefer. Pieces about 1,5-2 cm in size will look nicer, but it also depends on your taste.

In a large bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, half a teaspoon of salt and ground black pepper. Add the chicken and mix all the ingredients.

Cut the radish into semicircles, remove the core from the apple and cut into medium-sized triangles. Celery – small slices. Cut the green onion as well.

Add the vegetables and apples to the bowl with the chicken and mix well again. Finally, sprinkle with watercress leaves.

This salad can be eaten as a stand-alone dish, or used by layering on slices of brown bread. Bon appetit!

Chicken salad with radish – tips

You can constantly experiment with the ingredients of chicken salad with radishes. Add greens to your taste (dill, parsley, cilantro, arugula, etc.).

Many flavor options can be obtained in this salad, depending on the chosen variety of apples. In the original version, it should be green and slightly sour, but no one prevents you from giving the salad a slightly sweet taste with the help of other varieties.

Another space for imagination is replacing mayonnaise with other sauces. But be careful here: too radical changes will help create a completely different salad recipe.
