Chocolate cherry jam – ingredients

  • Cherries without pits – 3 kg.
  • Sugar – 600 g.
  • Chocolate – 100 g.
  • Black cocoa – 40 g.
  • Cinnamon – 1 tsp.

Chocolate cherry jam – recipe

Cover the cherry with sugar, set aside for 6-8 hours (it is good to leave it overnight). During this time, the cherry will give a lot of juice.

Put on fire, cook for 1,5-2 hours, stirring occasionally. When the cherry juice evaporates, after reducing the volume by half, take a glass of jam, mix it with cocoa and cinnamon, pour it into a pan with cherries, add chocolate divided into pieces. Mix everything well and cook for another 5 minutes.

Pour the hot cherry chocolate jam into sterilized jars, tightly screw on the metal lid. After cooling, the lids should fit well into the middle of the jar.
