Chocolate plum jam

Fragrant, easy to prepare and incredibly tasty jam – plums in chocolate. Such jam disappears from the jars first, not even waiting for winter, and sometimes not even getting into the pantry (or cellar). For those with a special sweet tooth, the jam doesn’t even get into the jars ;). The chocolate-plum aroma and taste will not leave anyone indifferent, be sure.

So let’s start cooking!

Chocolate plum jam – ingredients

  • Plums – 1 kg.
  • Sugar – 750 g.
  • Chocolate (75% cocoa) – 100 g.
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 g.

It is best to start making jam in the evening. Then it will be clear why

Wash the plums, dry them with a towel, remove the pits. We put it in a pan, cover it with sugar and leave it for 8 hours (here is our night).

In the morning, put the plums on the fire, bring to a boil (do not forget to stir from time to time), cook for 40-50 minutes, remove the foam.

Add vanilla sugar and pieces of chocolate. Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is completely melted (it will take a maximum of 2 minutes).

Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars and cover with sterile lids.

Or we do not close it and leave it to cool down and taste it immediately
