Cinderella s playground

Another braid that is worth giving a few hours of your time and effort. Believe me, it’s worth it. Cinderella’s playground – these are six layers of true taste enjoyment. Each layer has its own special taste that emphasizes and complements the previous one.

Cinderella cake – ingredients

  • For bіskvіtu:
  • Eggs – 4 pieces.
  • Flour – 4 tbsp.
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp.
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • For the poppy seed cake:
  • Eggs – 4 pieces.
  • Flour – 3 tbsp.
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp.
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • Dry poppy – ½ cup.
  • For the custard:
  • Milk – 2 glasses.
  • Sugar – ¾ cup.
  • Yolks – 2 pieces.
  • Vanilla sugar – 15 g.
  • Flour – 2 tbsp.
  • Starch – 2 tbsp.
  • Oil – 250
  • For the cream:
  • Cream (from 30%) – 500 ml.
  • Strawberry jelly (or any red) – 2 packages.
  • Water – 350 ml.
  • Powdered sugar – 2 tbsp.
  • Additionally:
  • Biscuits (with coffee).
  • Rum (or cognac) – ½ cup.
  • For the icing:
  • Butter – 120 g.
  • Powdered sugar – ½ cup.
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 tbsp.
  • Cocoa – 2 tbsp. (with a slide).
  • Milk – 4 tbsp.
  • Gelatin – 1 tsp. (with a slide).

Cinderella cake – preparation

Sponge cake

Separate the whites from the yolks, beat until thick foam, add 1-2 spoonfuls of sugar, beating well after each portion. We put the mixer on the lowest speed, add yolks one at a time.

Mix flour with baking powder, sift to egg mass. Mix gently with a spatula.

Cover the bottom of the mold (25×35) with parchment, spread the dough, level it. Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Poppy cake

We do the same as the biscuit. Only at the end, together with flour and baking powder, add poppy seeds.

Custard

Grind the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar, add flour, starch and ½ cup of milk, beat well so that there are no lumps. We put the rest of the milk on the fire, bring it to a boil. Pour the diluted mass into the boiling milk, and cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. Cover the cream with cling film so that it touches the entire surface of the cooked cream. Leave to cool.

Beat soft butter to a light fluffy mass, add cooled custard in several portions, beat constantly.

Butter cream

Dissolve the jelly in hot water, leave to cool.

Whip the well-chilled cream to a lush thick cream, add powdered sugar towards the end of the whipping.

Pour the jelly into the whipped cream in a thin trickle, whisking constantly.

WARNING. The cream should be immediately spread on the biscuit, spread out, it hardens very quickly!

We collect the braid

Spread the cream on the biscuit, spread it evenly. Place the poppy seed cake on top of the cream, spread it with custard, and level it. We soak the cookies in rum, spread them on the custard. We pour the glaze.

Glaze

Put all the ingredients (except gelatin) in a saucepan and boil for about 2 minutes.

Dissolve the gelatin in 4 tbsp. hot water

Remove the chocolate mass from the heat, add gelatin, mix well. Cool while stirring (4 minutes). Pour onto a plate, level.
