Although coconut liquor now you can find it on the shelves of every supermarket, it is quite expensive and not everyone can afford it. We offer you to prepare homemade coconut liquor, which will not be inferior in taste to store-bought liquor.

Coconut liqueur at home – preparation

Pour coconut shavings into a jar and pour vodka. Leave to infuse for about 10 days in a dark place, shaking occasionally. After that, the tincture is filtered so that no shavings remain in it. By the way, you can not throw away the shavings, but use them later in baking.

After filtering, condensed milk and water are added to the liquid. Mix everything well, after which we send the can with liquor to the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Do not shake the drink! During the settling time, the fat from the condensed milk should peel off and float to the surface – you will have to get rid of it. It is easiest to do this with the help of a tube that sinks to the bottom of the can. Pure liquid is drained according to the principle of connected vessels – like gasoline from a tank. The resulting liquor should be infused for another 7 days, and then again cleaned of the fatty layer. That’s it, our homemade coconut liquor is ready to drink!
