An interesting video on the topic – How to make chocolate sprinkles:

First of all, we need to grind butter with 80 grams of sugar. To do this, we put the first ingredient in a warm place in advance so that it becomes room temperature, after that, cutting it into pieces with a knife, we put the butter in a bowl. We pour sugar there. And now we mix the baking components with a spoon until a homogeneous mass is formed. Whoever has a blender at hand – be sure to use it, it will reduce your time, even if the butter has not yet melted.

Spoon the butter-sugar mass into a deep bowl. Add an egg, sour cream, oil, baking soda and a pinch of salt there. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with a mixer until smooth. And only at the end, carefully pour in the flour so that there are no lumps in the dough. At the same time, we stir in parallel.

Roll the resulting dough into a ball and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. By the way, if you are comfortable shaping the dough on the kitchen table, feel free to spread it out on a floured surface.

While the dough is cooling, prepare the orange filling. To do this, cut the fruit into four parts with a knife on a cutting board and remove the stones from it. After that, the orange slices must be crushed. We make the orange filling. There are two options. The first and easiest is to use a blender. We put pieces in it, pour in starch and 160 grams of sugar and turn our components into a sweet porridge on turbo mode. The second option is to take a meat grinder and grind the pieces of orange several times in a bowl. And only then add sugar and starch. Mix all the ingredients with a spoon, a mixer, or a whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.

The filling is ready, and the dough has already cooled down. Now we cut it into two parts of the same size. And now we roll each part of the dough in turn with a rolling pin on the kitchen table sprinkled with flour. We try to make it as thin as possible and in the shape of a rectangle.

Spoon the orange filling onto the dough layer, spreading it evenly along all edges. We roll the dough with our hands into a roll and carefully turn it over with the seam down. We do the same with another rectangle of dough. Cut each roll into pieces with a knife so that we get cookies.

The cookies are almost ready! We cover the baking sheet with baking paper and lay out our blanks on top of it. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 180 ° C. Put the baking sheet with the dish to bake for 15 minutes.

After the cookies are ready, take them out of the oven and let them cool. Before serving, sprinkle our pastry with powdered sugar through a sieve. Bon appetit!
