Stained glass cookies – ingredients
First, let’s prepare the candies. We separate the candies by color, and break them into powder with a hammer for chops (candies in plastic bags). Each color is separate.
We sift the flour, add sugar and salt, hard butter cut into cubes. Cut with a knife until you get a small butter crumb. Add sour cream, yolks, knead the dough.
Divide the dough into two parts. Wrap one in cling film and put it in the fridge.
We roll out the second one 0,5 cm thick, cut out figures, cookie cutters, and cut out circles in the center.
Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If we are going to hang such cookies on the Christmas tree, then it is time to make holes for ribbons with a drinking straw.
Pour crushed candies into the “window”. At the end, sweep the candy powder off the cookies with a brush.
Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 12 minutes (top-bottom, on the middle level).
Remove the cookies from the parchment only after they have completely cooled.
