Crab rolls

All of us have seen imitation crab meat on store shelves, i.e. crab sticks. Every housewife bought them at least once for a salad, but other dishes can also be prepared from crab sticks. If you love seafood in any form, then today’s recipe for a delicious crab sticks snack is just for you. Crab rolls is a quick snack option with a small amount of ingredients, which will appeal to both adults and children.

Recipe stuffed crab sticks quite simple, the main difficulty is to unfold them carefully, and for this here are some tips:

But still, it is more important to thaw the crab sticks well, for example overnight, if they are at room temperature, they will unfold without problems. It should be noted that not all crab sticks can be unfolded, only those with a spiral structure. It is best to use “eyes” in vacuum packs.

Stuffing for crab rolls can be the most diverse, personally I like cheese with egg, mayonnaise and garlic.

Crab rolls – ingredients:

  • Crab sticks – 400 g.
  • Boiled eggs – 4 pieces.
  • Hard cheese – 200 g.
  • Mayonnaise – 200
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves.

Recipe for making crab rolls

The crab sticks must be thoroughly thawed and before unrolling, put the whole pack in warm (about 40 C) water for 10 minutes, so they will warm up a little, the fibers will become elastic and they will unroll without problems. You can’t keep thawed crab sticks in warm water for too long – they can spoil!

Now we are cooking filling for crab rolls. Cheese and eggs should be grated on a fine grater. Combine the eggs and cheese in a bowl, add all the mayonnaise, squeeze or grate the garlic on a fine grater. Mix well. If necessary, you can add another spoonful of mayonnaise – after all, the mixture should be soft so that it can be spread easily.

Finally, we deploy crab sticks. To do this, make sure that they are very well thawed and not hard in the middle. Place the unfolded crab stick red side down, and spread the prepared cheese mixture on the inside. Fold gently roll.

Cut into portioned pieces (if the ends of the roll are uneven – level them by cutting off a little at a time). Serve on skewers in the form of canapes, garnished with greens.
