Cutlets like at school

I want to remember my childhood. Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers to return to school years and taste school cutlets. Cutlets come out very tender with a crust. We offer a delicious, easy-to-prepare recipe that the whole family will like.

According to the original recipe, meat is used 50/50 – pork / veal. We offer to prepare cutlets only from veal. Spices can be added to your taste. All meat spices go well with minced meat.

You can serve any porridge or mashed potatoes as a side dish. Roasted vegetables will also taste good with school cutlets.

Ingredients for cooking school cutlets:

  • veal – 500 g.
  • eggs – 1 pcs.
  • rye bread – 400 g.
  • onion – 1 pcs.
  • salt – to taste.
  • pepper – to taste.
  • garlic – 4 cloves.
  • ice – 10 pcs.
  • rye crackers – 4 tbsp.

How to cook school cutlets:

We choose a piece of meat. Rinse under running water and dry. Cut into small pieces and pass through a meat grinder.

Pour cold water over the bread, adding ice cubes. Set aside for a while until the bread is soaked.

Clean the garlic and pass it through a press. Add to minced meat. Peel the onion, cut it and fry it in oil. Pass through a meat grinder. Add to minced meat. We squeeze the bread well and pass it through a meat grinder. Add to minced meat. Beat the egg. Add to minced meat.

Minced meat for school cutlets salt, pepper to taste. Mix well and beat. Put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Form school cutlets 1-1,5 cm thick. Roll in breadcrumbs and fry in a heated pan with oil on both sides until cooked.
