Cutlets on a potato stick

Today we will cook delicious and rather unusual dishes cutlets on a potato stick. Such cutlets turn out to be tender and juicy, and during cooking there is such an aroma that everyone in the house gradually gathers in the kitchen to find out what is being prepared.

Cutlets on a potato stick – ingredients

  • For pіdlivi:
  • Onion – 1 piece.
  • Water – 1,5 cups.
  • Flour – 1 tbsp.
  • Tomato paste – 1 tbsp.
  • Sour cream – 2 tbsp.

Cutlets on a potato stick – preparation

Let’s prepare minced meat. Beat the eggs with milk and pour this mixture over the oatmeal. We leave them for 15-20 minutes.

We grind the meat into minced meat, cut the onion into cubes (you can also grind together with the meat), finely chop the garlic, mix everything, add salt and pepper to taste. Add oatmeal to the minced meat.

Cut the potatoes into cubes.

We form an oval pancake from the minced meat, put a potato block in the middle, wrap the potato in the minced meat, fasten the edges well.

Fry the cutlets until golden brown in a heated pan with oil. Place in a baking dish.

Now we will prepare the gravy. Finely chop the onion, pour it into a heated pan with a small amount of oil, pour in ½ cup of water. Cover with a lid. Pour a glass of water into a deep container, add flour, mix well so that there are no lumps, add tomato paste and sour cream. Pour into the pan with onions. Mix well, add salt and seasonings to taste.

Pour the sauce over the cutlets and put them in the oven and bake them at a temperature of 180-200 degrees. After 15-20 minutes, turn the cutlets on the other side so that the top is in the gravy and bake for another 15 minutes.
