Delicious chicken schnitzels

Although schnitzel belongs to the national cuisine of Germany, such a dish has already appeared in Ukrainian literature, and its name was somewhat outdated “krayanets” or “schnitzel”. Smakota offers delicious recipe gentle and delicious chicken schnitzels in the Ukrainian way.

Delicious chicken schnitzels – ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 2 pcs.
  • Lemon – 1/2 pc.
  • Flour – 3 tbsp.
  • Breadcrumbs – 4 tbsp.
  • Chicken egg – 2 pc.
  • Salt pepper.
  • Oil for frying.

Delicious chicken schnitzels – recipe

Wash and dry the chicken fillet with paper towels. Cut each lengthwise into 2 flat parts. Beat with a kitchen hammer, salt and pepper. If desired, sprinkle with lemon juice.

Beat the chicken eggs into a homogeneous mass. By the way, to make the schnitzels more tender and juicy, you can add a little mayonnaise to the beaten eggs.

Next, pour flour on one large plate, and breadcrumbs on another. If you suddenly forgot to buy them or do not have them at hand, then you can simply blend stale bread and you will have the same crackers, even in a homemade version.

We heat the oil well in a pan, but make sure that the oil does not start to burn and does not emit black smoke.

Next, first roll the chicken meat in flour, then dip it in beaten eggs, and then in breadcrumbs. Shake well and fry.

Fry on both sides until golden. Then, if you wish, in order to eat less fried oil, you can put the finished schnitzels on paper towels, so they will absorb a little oil and the dish will no longer be so greasy.

Ready chicken schnitzels are served with mashed potatoes or French fries.
