For fans of spinach and dishes with it, we offer recipe for dumplings with spinach. Dumplings with an original filling – cheese, spinach and garlic taste very good and are never “leftover”. We highly recommend you try it!

Dumplings with spinach – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Flour – 500 g.
  • Salt – 1 tsp.
  • Butter (margarine) – 2-3 tbsp.
  • Warm water – 1 glass.
  • For the filling:
  • Spinach – 500 g (you can use both frozen and fresh. Frozen – thaw and squeeze well before use).
  • Cheese – 300 g.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Salt pepper.
  • Green garlic – a bunch.
  • Oil – 1 tablespoons

Dumplings with spinach – recipe

Sift flour, add salt. In the “slide” of flour, make a depression, add soft (room temperature) butter, pour warm water, and knead the elastic dough. Cover tightly with an inverted pan, leave the dough to rest.

Let’s do the filling. Wash the spinach, cut it thinly, pour boiling water over it, drain it, squeeze it.

Melt butter in a pan, add spinach, simmer slightly, add garlic cloves squeezed out of a garlic press, salt, pepper, finely chopped green young garlic or garlic onion, cheese, mix everything well.

We roll out a piece of dough on a board, squeeze out circles with a glass, apply the filling and mold the dumplings.

We lower the dumplings into boiling, slightly salted water, after the dumplings float to the surface, cook for another 2 minutes.

We serve it with fried onions (fried sour cream, crackers. whatever you like best).
