Necessary products for cooking stewed fish with carrots and beets

  • Fish. hake – 1 kg.
  • Carrot – 1 pc.
  • Beet – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 100 g.
  • Tomato paste or crushed tomatoes – 100 g.
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Vegetable oil – for frying.

Cooking stewed fish with carrots and beets

1. Carefully disassemble, wash and cut the fish into small pieces. Salt to taste.

2. Sprinkle each piece of fish with flour on all sides. In a frying pan with the addition of oil, fry the pieces of fish a little on both sides until a light golden crust. In this way, we fry all the pieces.

3. Peel the carrots and beets and rub them on a coarse grater. Put half of the grated carrot and beetroot on the bottom of a heat-resistant form.

4. Put the fried fish on top of the vegetables.

5. In a separate container, mix tomato paste or crushed tomatoes with 1 liter of water.

6. Cover the fish with the remaining vegetables and pour the sauce over everything.

7. Cover the heat-resistant form with a lid, put it in the oven and cook for 1 hour at a temperature of 180 degrees.
