Preparation of gingerbread with prunes:

Prunes are washed and steamed in boiling water for a few minutes. Drain and dry. Soak prunes in a small container for two hours in cognac. Drain the cognac, dry the prunes slightly.

Sift flour with baking powder. Melt the butter in a water bath, adding honey and spices. Cool down.

Beat the eggs with sugar well, like for a biscuit. Gradually add the butter-honey mixture to the beaten eggs. Gradually add milk and flour, carefully mix everything.

When the mass is ready, add prunes. Lubricate the baking form with butter or oil.

Heat the oven to 180 ° C. Bake the pie with prunes for about 1 hour until ready.

Melt the butter with the chocolate in a water bath. The resulting glaze is poured over the finished gingerbread cake with prunes when it cools down a little.
