Stew hake with vegetables – ingredients

  • Hake – about 1 kg (4 fish).
  • Carrot – 200 g.
  • Onion – 200 g.
  • Tomato paste – 3 tbsp.
  • Oil – 30
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Flour – 50 g.
  • Salt, pepper – to taste.
  • Bay leaf – 1-2 pieces.
  • Coriander, ground paprika – to taste.

Cut the thawed hake carcasses into portions.

Cleaned fish, cut into portioned pieces, salt, pepper, roll in flour, fry on well-heated medium heat until a golden crust appears.

Cut the onion (as we like), grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion, fry until translucent, add the carrots, and fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes.

Put half of the vegetables in a cauldron (or other dish where the fish will be stewed), then lay out the fish, cover with vegetables.

Dilute the tomato paste in ½ cup of water, pour it into the fish and vegetables. Add bay leaf, paprika, coriander, other spices as desired.

Stew the fish over low heat for 20-30 minutes.
