Ham baked in dough

On Easter, it is customary to celebrate ham – pre-marinated meat that is smoked or baked. Today, Smakota ( invites you to try it ham baked in dough. Ham is wrapped in dough to make it juicy.

Recipe for ham baked in dough

  • ham – 2 kg.
  • salt – 2 tbsp.
  • garlic – 4 cloves.
  • ground black pepper – 1 tbsp.
  • coriander – 1/4 tsp.
  • bay leaves – 4 pieces (chopped).
  • sunflower oil – 2 tbsp.

Take the meat and rub it with salt and ground black pepper. After 2 hours, rub it with a mixture of chopped bay leaves, crushed garlic, coriander, and sunflower oil (you can use any other spicy potion you like). Let it marinate in a cold place for a day.

The next day, we take the ham, tie it tightly with threads and fry it on all sides. We prepare the dough, for this we mix the yeast with sugar and add it to the flour mixed with water and salt. At the end of the kneading, add oil. The dough should be thin, but elastic. Wrap the meat in dough and bake in the oven for 1,5 hours at 170 degrees.
