Homemade caramel sauce

Homemade caramel sauce – the perfect addition to ice cream, desserts, cupcakes, cheesecakes. It goes well with almost everything and tastes good with everything. By following all the instructions, you can easily prepare such a sauce at home. You don’t need a thermometer to make the caramel sauce according to the recipe, and the ingredients are quite simple.

Homemade caramel sauce – ingredients

  • Sugar – 200 g.
  • Oil – 90
  • Cream (from 30%) – 125 ml.
  • Sea salt – 1 tsp.

Butter and cream should be at room temperature.

Pour sugar into a pan with a thick bottom, put on medium heat. Stir constantly with a silicone spatula (stir, constantly passing the spatula along the bottom of the pan so that the caramel does not burn). After some time, lumps will begin to appear (this is how it should be), and the sugar will begin to melt.

When the sugar melts and becomes a dark golden color, add butter, stirring constantly, until the ingredients are completely combined.

***WARNING. *** Be careful when combining hot sugar with cool butter, the mass may foam and bubble a lot.

Stirring constantly, we pour in the cream in a thin stream. At this time, there can also be a violent reaction, be careful! Mix everything until smooth.

Add salt. Boil for another 2-3 minutes on low heat, transfer the sauce to a jar, leave to cool.

Cover the cooled sauce hermetically with a lid, store in the refrigerator (up to 2 weeks).

The sauce should be heated before use (cold sauce is very thick).

From the given ingredients, we get about 250 ml of sauce.
