Homemade mulled wine for colds

Mulled wine not only tasty, but in moderate quantities a useful drink that helps in the treatment and prevention of many viral diseases. There is a special mulled wine recipe for a cold, repeatedly tested in practice. Contains only natural ingredients.

Remember that mulled wine helps well only in the early stages of the disease. Next, we will consider a recipe that is as adapted as possible for the treatment of colds, acute respiratory infections and angina.

Homemade mulled wine for colds – ingredients

  • red wine – 0,7 l.
  • honey – 3 tbsp.
  • lemon – 1 half.
  • sour apple – 1 piece.
  • ginger (fresh) – 2 tsp.
  • cloves – 6 pieces.
  • cinnamon – 1 stick.
  • cardamom – 2 pieces.
  • nutmeg – 0,5 teaspoon.
  • black pepper – 4 peas.

Homemade mulled wine for colds – preparation

Wash the apple and lemon well, cut into small pieces (do not peel or peel).

Pour the wine into a saucepan and add spices: grated ginger, cloves, pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. Constantly stirring, we heat the wine to a temperature of 70-75 degrees.

Remove the wine from the heat, add the apples and lemon. Cover tightly with a lid, wrap with a blanket and leave to infuse for 20 minutes. Add honey and let stand for another 10 minutes.

Strain the finished mulled wine through cheesecloth. Take it hot (you can heat it on the stove) before going to bed, in small sips. You should not drink more than 350 g at one time.

Mulled wine is contraindicated for people suffering from hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, stomach ulcers and other digestive disorders. Also, hot wine is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
