Homemade orange liqueur

Today we will prepare a soft and fragrant homemade orange liqueur. Orange juice gives the drink a delicate taste, and the zest adds aroma and delicate color.

For cooking orange liqueur it is worth using firm, juicy oranges.

For the alcoholic base in this liqueur, you can use vodka, cognac, high-quality, well-cleaned moonshine.

Homemade orange liqueur – ingredients

  • Oranges – 4 pieces. . . . .
  • Vodka – 0,5 liter.
  • Sugar – 150 g.

Homemade orange liqueur – preparation

Pour boiling water over 3-4 oranges, wipe dry. Grate the peel (only the yellow part). Wrap oranges without peel in cling film and put in the refrigerator.

Put the peel in a jar, pour vodka, mix, cover tightly with a lid, insist 5-7 days in a warm, dark place. Shake the contents of the can 2-3 times a day.

Filter the finished orange tincture through cheesecloth, squeeze the peel well.

We take out the oranges from the refrigerator, clean them from the white peel, squeeze the juice. We need 300 ml of juice.

Pour the juice into a saucepan, add sugar, heat over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved (do not boil).

Strain the syrup through cheesecloth, add to the tincture.

Pour the finished liqueur into a glass bottle with dark glass. We put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

Liqueur is ready for tasting.
