Homemade quince liqueur

In order to prepare a tasty and aromatic infusion from quince, it is necessary to select ripe fruits without rot and damage. Homemade quince liqueur it turns out to be aromatic, sweet, with a slight hint of ginger and sourness in the aftertaste.

Homemade quince liqueur – ingredients

  • Quince – 1 kg.
  • Sugar – 700-800 g.

  • Vodka – 1 liter.
  • Ginger root – 50-60 g.

Homemade quince liqueur – preparation

Wash the quince, remove the core with the bones, cut off the tails. Cut into small cubes. Cut the ginger root into thin slices.

Put everything in a jar, add sugar, cover with a lid and shake well several times. We put it on the windowsill for 3-4 days, shake it 3-4 times a day.

Add vodka to the jar, mix well and cover with a lid, put in a dark place (room temperature) for 25-30 days. Shake every 2 days.

Filter the finished infusion through several layers of cheesecloth, squeeze the quince and ginger well.

Pour the mixture into bottles and keep it in the refrigerator for at least another week.

The longer the liqueur will stand, the better the taste will be.
