  • Ruler – 1 piece.
  • Dark beer – 1 liter.
  • Black pepper with peas – 10 pieces.
  • Cloves – 10 pieces.
  • Garlic – 3 cloves.
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.
  • Mustard – 2 tbsp.
  • Seasoning for frying meat (favorite) – 2 tbsp.
  • Salt – 2 tsp.

How to bake a shank without pre-boiling – a cooking recipe

Add 1 tbsp. to beer. spices for roasting meat, salt (1 tsp), cloves, black pepper, leave to infuse for about 2 hours.

Mix honey, mustard, salt (1 tsp) and seasoning for roasting meat (1 tbsp).

We make incisions on the skin of the knuckle, grease the knuckle well with the resulting mixture. We make three vertical punctures on each side. Cut the garlic in half, stuff these halves into the punctures and coat them with sauce as well. We leave the marinated knuckle for 2 hours.

Pour prepared beer over the shank, put it in the refrigerator for at least 10 hours. After about 5 hours (half the time), we turn the knuckle over to the other side.

Heat the oven to 200 degrees. We take out the shank from the marinade, put it in the sleeve for baking. We make 5-6 punctures in the sleeve (about 0,5-1 cm in length). Put in the oven for at least 2 hours. Bake for 200 hour at 1 degrees, reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another 1-1,5 hours.
