How to diversify the diet during fasting: dish ideas – (Smakota): recipes for delicious dishes

Vegetable soup, boiled potatoes and sauerkraut are far from the only dishes that make up the menu during fasting. There are many interesting recipes without the use of animal products, in particular, there are recipes for delicious, aromatic pastries.

Diet during Lent

A lean diet excludes the use of meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. You can eat vegetables, cereals, legumes, nuts, greens, mushrooms and fruits. Due to the limited diet, it is important to eat regularly without skipping meals. Four meals a day are recommended – breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.

Buns for burgers

Burgers with vegetable or mushroom filling are a great option for a delicious lean meal. The main thing is to prepare tasty and bright buns from vegetable ingredients.

For the dough you will need the following products:

  • wheat flour – 250 g (can be adjusted);
  • fresh pressed yeast “Lviv” – 10 g;
  • sugar – 1 tablespoon;
  • odorless oil – 1 tablespoon;
  • salt – half a teaspoon;
  • water – 225 ml (75 ml for each color);
  • carrot juice – 80 ml;
  • beet juice – 80 ml;
  • greens, chopped in a blender – 100 g (dill, spinach, parsley).
  1. Knead the dough of three types – three colors. For each color: mix yeast with sugar, juice and 75 ml of water. Add sifted flour, salt and oil, knead the dough. Cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the work surface with flour. Divide the dough into pieces (80 g) – form balls and flatten. Cover the tray with parchment, lay out the buns, cover with a towel and leave for 50 minutes.
  3. When the products fit, lightly press them from above with your hand and let it stand for another 20 minutes.
  4. Lubricate the surface of the buns with sweet water or brew, sprinkle with sesame seeds and place in an oven heated to 230 degrees for 15 minutes.

Focaccia

Fragrant Italian pastries will make your lean menu not only tasty, but also truly exquisite.

To prepare opara, take:

  • wheat flour – 150 g;
  • fresh pressed “Lviv” yeast – 20 g;
  • semolina – 50 g;
  • water – 330 g.

To knead the dough, you will need:

  • sponge;
  • wheat flour – 300 g;
  • oil – two tablespoons;
  • salt – 10 g.
  • marinated pitted olives – 100 g;
  • sun-dried tomatoes – 100 g;
  • rosemary – 1 sprig;
  • olive oil – 20 ml.
  1. Prepare the dough: dissolve the yeast in warm water, add flour and semolina. Put in heat for one hour. Add sifted flour, salt and oil – knead a soft elastic dough. Leave to rise in a warm place for half an hour. Stretch the dough and let it stand for another half hour.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment and lay out the dough. Stretch it, forming a rectangular layer 3 cm thick. Put it in the heat for 40-50 minutes, until it fits and bubbles appear on the surface.
  3. Press olives and tomatoes into the dough, sprinkle with rosemary, sprinkle with olive oil. Place in an oven heated to 200 degrees for 25 minutes.

As you can see, even a fasting diet can be easily diversified with interesting and simple recipes – cook and eat with pleasure even during fasting!
