The plum harvest is in full swing. Gardens and market shelves are full of different varieties of plums. It’s time to brew a few jars of delicious plum jam – Plums in halves.

Plum jam in halves – ingredients

  • Plum – 1 kg.
  • Sugar – 1 kg.
  • Water – 0,5 cups.

Plum jam in halves – a recipe for cooking

Wash the plums well, cut them in half with a knife, remove the stone.

Put the plums in a pan.

We cook syrup from water and sugar. Boil for 2-3 minutes, stir. Remove from heat, pour in plums, leave for 3-4 hours.

We put the plums on the fire, bring to a boil, remove from the fire, leave for 8-10 hours.

Bring to a boil again, boil for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat, cool. We repeat this procedure 2 more times. For the third time, cook until ready for 15-20 minutes.

Put the finished hot jam into sterile jars (1 portion makes approximately 2 jars of 0,5 l each), close hermetically with lids.
