Lavash – recipe

Dough on pita according to this recipe, it is soft and easy to work with. It is also an ideal recipe for dough for chebureks. This dough can be baked on a hot pan (1 minute on each side) or in the oven.

Preparation of pita bread

Dissolve salt in hot water (not boiling water), add flour and mix.

Spread the dough on the prepared table. Sprinkle the table and hands with 1 tbsp. l. flour and knead the dough. If necessary, add another 1 tablespoon of flour.

If the dough still sticks to your hands, but does not pull away from them, you do not need to add more flour.

Place the dough on a floured plate and cover with cling film. Leave for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 2 parts, and each of the parts into 4 more parts. The result should be 8 balls.

Put the dough balls in a bowl and sprinkle them with flour so they don’t stick together. Cover with a towel and leave for another 10 minutes.

Roll out each ball on a floured surface to a transparent thickness. You need to make holes in several places with a fork.

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees and carefully place pita bread on a heated baking sheet. After 2 minutes, pita bread is ready.

Lay a dry towel on the board, a wet towel on top. Put pita bread on a wet towel and lightly sprinkle with water. Wrap pita bread in a damp towel.
