Lviv square Heaven in the Lips

Today we offer you to prepare an extremely delicate, light platyok that simply melts in your mouth – a platyok from a Lviv hostess – “Heaven in the Lip”. Sweet cream souffle in combination with sour apple layer and delicate dough create an unusual harmonious combination of flavors.

The process of making such a braid is very simple. So, without thinking, you can go to the kitchen and start cooking!

Lviv pie “Heaven in the Lip” – ingredients

  • For the dough
  • Flour – 300 g.
  • Oil – 150
  • Baking powder – 1,5 tsp.
  • Sour cream – 3 tbsp.
  • Boiled egg yolks – 4 pieces.
  • Powdered sugar – 100 g.
  • For the cream
  • Condensed milk – 300 g.
  • Cream (from 30%) – 500 ml.
  • Gelatin – 15
  • For the apple filling
  • Apples (large, sweet and sour) – 6 pieces.
  • Honey – 3 tbsp.
  • Lemon juice – from half a lemon.
  • For the glaze
  • Chocolate – 100 g.
  • Oil – 70
  • Milk – 100 ml.

Lviv pie “Heaven in the Lips” – cooking

Beat soft butter with powdered sugar, add boiled yolks one at a time. Sour cream is mixed with baking powder and added to the butter mass. Sift the flour and add it to the butter mixture. Knead the soft dough, wrap it in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

While the dough is “resting” in the refrigerator, prepare the apple filling, peel and grate the apples on a coarse grater. Place the apples in a pan and cook over low heat until soft, turn off the heat and add honey and lemon juice.

Now we will prepare the cream. Heat the cream (50 ml) and dissolve the gelatin in it. Beat the rest of the cream at medium speeds of the mixer until thick, and while continuing to beat, add condensed milk in portions. We mix our creamy mass with gelatin. The cream is ready.

Take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into 2 parts. Carefully roll out the dough on baking paper. Together with the paper, we spread the dough on a form and send it to an oven heated to 180 degrees and bake for 10 minutes until golden.

Assemble the dough: spread the warm apple filling on the cake (the cakes are very delicate, so we work with them very carefully). For the filling – half of the cream. Then cake again, cream filling.

We put the cake in the refrigerator for several hours so that the cream hardens.

Prepare the glaze. Melt the butter, add milk and chopped chocolate, bring the mass to a homogeneous state over low heat. Let it cool a little and pour it on the cake.
