Meat baked in onions

Today we will cook something delicious, tender and aromatic meat baked in onions. The juiciness of the finished meat will depend on the choice of raw meat – the loin will be drier, the neck – juicier.

Meat baked in onions – ingredients

  • Pork (loin or neck) – 1100 g.
  • Onion (large) – 3 pieces.
  • Vinegar (9%) – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Oil.
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Black pepper – to taste.
  • Spices for meat are optional.

Meat baked in onions – preparation

Cut the onion into half rings, add vinegar to it and mix well with your hands.

We rub the meat well with oil on all sides and sprinkle it well with spices and salt.

Cover the baking dish with two layers of foil (with a reserve), put half of the onion on the foil, put the meat on top, and cover the meat with the rest of the onion. Roll up the foil well, twisting the ends together so that there are no holes and the juice does not leak out during cooking.

We leave the meat to marinate for 2-3 hours in a warm place, and put it in the refrigerator for the night (6-8 hours). In the morning, put the meat in an oven heated to 200 degrees, leave it for 1,5 hours.

Leave the meat to cool, remove all the onions. Put in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Cut and serve.
