Can dessert be useful? Of course yes! Everything depends on the ingredients of the dish, because harmful products can always be replaced with an alternative! It’s also worth remembering that it’s not so much about the product as it is about the portions. Muffins with figs can easily become a delicious breakfast for children or an addition to a sweet table on a birthday.

Muffins with figs and pumpkin seeds – ingredients

  • wheat flour – 100 g.
  • whole grain flour – 100 g.
  • fresh figs – 4 pcs.
  • ground bran – 120 g.
  • brown sugar – 100 g.
  • pumpkin seeds – 50 g.
  • chicken eggs – 1 pcs.
  • egg whites – 1 pcs.
  • fat yogurt – 120 g.
  • olive oil – 120 ml.
  • fig jam – 3 tbsp. l.
  • honey (buckwheat is best) – 1 tbsp. l.
  • baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • soda – ½ tsp.
  • ground cinnamon – ¼ tsp.
  • nutmeg – 1 pinch.

Muffins with figs and pumpkin seeds – recipe

Preheat the oven to 180-190 ° C in the “hot air” mode. Combine yogurt, egg and egg white in a blender bowl and mix with a spoon, add 100 ml of water, honey and jam, mix again.

Next, add olive oil and beat with a whisk at low speed. Put all the flour in a deep bowl, add soda, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon, mix everything. Then pour pumpkin seeds and bran.

Add eggs beaten with yogurt to the flour, quickly but thoroughly mix the dough. Cut the figs into small pieces.

Fill muffin tins with dough to 3/4 of the total volume, spread pieces of figs on top. Bake muffins in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
