Mulled wine on dark beer

Mulled wine on dark beer – the drink is quite simple, but at the same time very tasty. In general, mulled wine is made from wine, but here it is replaced by dark beer. Spices are traditional: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, honey, lemon peel.

The recipe of this drink is universal: you can create your own variations without changing the preparation method, but only by varying the ingredients – adding new ones or replacing some of them with something that suits your taste better.

Beer for mulled wine should be chosen well, because it is the main ingredient and the taste of the finished product will depend on it.

Mulled wine on dark beer – ingredients

  • Dark beer – 700 ml.
  • Cardamom – 1 g.
  • Ginger – 5 g.
  • Cinnamon stick – 1 piece.
  • Nutmeg – 0,4 g.
  • Cloves – 3 pieces.
  • Honey – 5 teaspoons.
  • Zest from half a lemon.

Mulled wine on dark beer – a recipe

Pour 700-750 ml of good dark beer into a thick-walled pan. We put the pan on the fire and heat it until the beer foam begins to rise (do not boil).

Remove the beer from the heat, add spices – cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and honey.

Add the zest of half a lemon and put the pan on the fire again, warm it well, but do not boil it.

Pour the finished mulled wine into glasses, decorate with cinnamon sticks and slices of lemon (or orange).
