Oatmeal with strawberries and honey

Oatmeal (oatmeal) – porridge made from oat flakes or a mixture of flakes of different cereals.

Oatmeal with water (milk) and raisins is the main traditional breakfast in Sweden. Germans and Swiss also prepare oatmeal (but cold), adding nuts to it. In Great Britain, liquid oatmeal is a traditional dish, and the Scots consider it their national dish.

Recipe for oatmeal with strawberries and honey:

  • strawberries – 14 pieces (150g).
  • oatmeal – 5 tbsp.

Boil water, pour oatmeal to steam (~2-5 min., the cooking time is exactly written on the package). Wash and clean the strawberries, cut into arbitrary shapes. Add honey to steamed oatmeal, mix.

(Remember!: Do not add honey to hot dishes, as it loses its beneficial properties at high temperatures!).

Sprinkle with chopped strawberries and enjoy a ready-made quick healthy breakfast.
