Onion soup

Today we will cook a little unusual, but very tasty, onion soup. This soup turns out to be very tasty, aromatic and quite filling. Don’t skimp on quality products for onion soup – don’t skimp on wine and cheese.

Onion soup – ingredients

  • Onion – 2 pieces (large).
  • Oil – 4 tablespoons
  • White dry wine – ½ cup.
  • Vegetable broth – 750 ml.
  • Bread – 2-3 slices.
  • Salt pepper.
  • Parmesan or Grana Padano (grated) – 3 tbsp.
  • Additionally:
  • Chicken breast – 200 g.

Onion soup – recipe

Cut the onion into half rings.

Cut the chicken breast into small cubes, salt and pepper.

In a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat 2 tbsp. oils Pour the onion, fry the onion until it is almost golden. Pour in the wine, simmer for 2 minutes. Add hot broth, cook for 10 minutes.

Melt a tablespoon of butter in a pan, fry the chicken cubes.

In the second pan, melt a spoonful of butter and fry the bread on both sides until golden. Sprinkle hot croutons with grated cheese.

Pour the soup into plates, lay out the fried chicken, put croutons on top and immediately serve.
