Orange-coffee square

A light, tender cake that simply melts in your mouth – orange-coffee cake. The pie is moderately sweet, and an interesting combination of orange and carrot juice with coffee and jelly creates an intriguing special taste.

Orange-coffee cake – ingredients

  • For bіskvіtu:
  • Eggs – 4 large eggs.
  • Sugar – 2/3 cup.
  • Flour – 2/3 cup.
  • Cocoa – 1,5 tablespoon
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Water – 2 tbsp.
  • Baking powder – ½ tsp.
  • For the orange cream:
  • Orange juice – 600 ml.
  • Carrot juice – 400 ml.
  • Vanilla pudding – 3 packages.
  • Sugar – 7 tbsp.
  • Oil – 200
  • For jelly:
  • Orange jelly – 3 pieces.
  • Water – 900 ml.
  • For the coffee cream:
  • Cream – 500 ml.
  • Mascarpone – 250
  • Powdered sugar – 5 tbsp. with a hill
  • Gelatin – 2 tsp.
  • Strong coffee – 70 ml.

Orange-coffee pie – preparation

Sponge cake

Add salt and sugar to the eggs, beat for 7-8 minutes until a light fluffy mass, oil and water, beat.

Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder, sift to the egg mass, carefully mix with a spoon, just until the components are combined.

Grease a mold (25×30) with oil and sprinkle with semolina. We put the dough in a form, level it, put it in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Cut the cooled biscuit into two cakes.

Orange cream

Mix carrot and orange juice.

Dilute the puddings in half a glass of juice, mix well so that there are no lumps.

We put the rest of the juice on the fire, pour in sugar and bring to a boil, pour in the diluted pudding, stirring constantly until it thickens. Leave to cool.

Beat the soft butter to a fluffy white mass, gradually add the cooled orange pudding, beat well at the maximum speed of the mixer.

Dissolve the jelly in hot water. Cool and pour into a mold, put in the refrigerator until it thickens completely. As a result, we will get a “jelly cake”.

Coffee cream

Dissolve gelatin in hot strong coffee, set aside until completely cool.

Beat the well-chilled cream and mascarpone until a homogeneous, thick cream (at first on the lowest speed, then on the highest). Add powdered sugar and cold coffee with gelatin, beat for a few seconds.

We collect the braid

Grease the lower part of the cake with orange cream, carefully spread the jelly “cake” on top, grease it with coffee cream, level it, cover with the second biscuit cake.

Put the finished dough in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours. Sprinkle with powder before serving.
