Pasta casserole with chicken, broccoli and cauliflower in Bechamel sauce – a simple and fairly quick dish that is not only tasty and filling, but also very useful. After all, chicken and two types of cabbage contain a lot of valuable substances for our body. Be sure to take a note of the recipe.

Necessary products for cooking pasta casserole with chicken, broccoli and cauliflower with Bechamel sauce

  • For the base:
  • Macaroni – 250 g
  • Chicken fillet – 2 pcs. (600 g)
  • Cauliflower – 350 g

  • Broccoli – 350 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Salt, black pepper – to taste
  • For the Bechamel sauce:
  • Milk – 400 ml
  • Flour – 20 g
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Nutmeg – 1/3 tsp.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Bay leaf – 1-2 pcs.
  • Salt – ½ tsp.
  • Black pepper, ground – 1/3 tsp.

Cooking pasta casserole with chicken, broccoli and cauliflower in Bechamel sauce

1. Wash the cauliflower and broccoli and cut them into small florets.

2. Pour 0,5 l of water into a saucepan, add a pinch of salt and cook cauliflower and broccoli for 5-7 minutes. Throw the cooked vegetables in a colander to drain the excess liquid.

3. Cook pasta in salted water for 8-9 minutes until ready.

4. Throw the finished pasta in a colander to drain excess liquid.

5. Boil the chicken fillet for 15-20 minutes in salted water. Prepared and cooled fillets are divided into fibers.

6. Prepare Bechamel sauce. Pour milk into a saucepan, add peeled onion, black pepper, nutmeg and 1 bay leaf. Put the saucepan on the fire and boil the milk. Then remove the saucepan from the heat and leave it aside for 5 minutes so that the onion gives its taste and aroma.

7. After 5 minutes, remove the onion and bay leaf from the saucepan.

8. Melt butter in a pan.

9. Add flour to the pan.

10. Thoroughly mix flour with butter and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.

11. Pour some milk into the pan. Mix thoroughly so that there are no lumps.

12. Then pour all the contents of the pan into a saucepan with milk, add salt. We put the saucepan on the fire and, stirring constantly with a whisk, cook the sauce until the first bubbles appear. As soon as the sauce thickens, it is ready.

13. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.

14. Mix cauliflower, broccoli and chicken fillet in a deep container.

15. Add Bechamel sauce to the container.

16. Add pasta here and mix everything thoroughly.

17. Put pasta with cabbage, fillet and sauce in a heat-resistant dish.

18. Sprinkle with grated cheese.

19. Cook the dish under a closed lid or cover the form with foil in the oven for 30 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
