We are all used to tasting the traditional Easter paska. And what will happen if you modernize the recipe a little and add, for example, nuts? Exactly according to the proposed recipe strips with nuts, you will get a delicious, chic, and most importantly, original paska.

A recipe for making paska with nuts

Let’s start cooking strips with nuts. Flour must be sifted and mixed with yeast. Heat the milk, but do not boil it.

Now let’s prepare the filling for strips with nuts. Mix 300 g of flour combined with yeast, vanilla sugar and a glass of warm milk and put in a warm place for 30 minutes. Later, add another 200 g of flour, mix, cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.

Grind the yolks with sugar and salt, pour in the melted butter and cognac/brandy, mix and combine with the risen dough. Now add the remaining flour, ground spices, zest and remaining milk. Knead the dough well strips with nuts and put in a warm place for another 1 hour.

Ready dough for strips with nuts combine with 2/3 of the chopped nuts and raisins. Also, beat the whites separately, combine with the dough and mix well.

Transfer the dough to the baking pans (the dough in the pan should fill about half of the volume) and leave for 30 minutes to rise.

When the time is up, sprinkle the remaining nuts on top of the pasques and put them in an oven heated to 180 degrees. Bake strips with nuts 40-45 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 160 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes. Done!
