Penne with cauliflower and smoked breast

Today Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers you to cook penne with cauliflower and smoked brisket. Cabbage can be slightly boiled in boiling water, but baked it is much tastier! Italians most often use Parmesan, but any other hard cheese you like will do. You can safely replace the breast with smoked turkey.

Penne is translated from Italian as “feather”. Boil the penne in salted water for a minute less than indicated on the package, then drain the water and save.

Cut the cauliflower into small florets and cut off the rough stems. Peel the garlic and crush it with the flat side of a knife.

Place the cauliflower in a small pan, add salt, pepper, garlic, drizzle with olive oil, shake slightly so that the oil is distributed over the cabbage, and grill for 5 minutes.

Grate Parmesan or any other hard cheese on a fine grater. Cut the breast into thin strips. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and fry the breast.

Add the fried breast, arugula, baked cauliflower, half of the grated cheese to the hot pasta and mix everything. If necessary, pour a little water in which the pasta was cooked.

Finely chop the basil. Put the pasta on a plate, sprinkle with basil and the remaining cheese. You have a delicious hearty meal on the table.
