Pie with canned fish it turns out very tasty – juicy fish filling and tender base. This cake can be classified as a snack, but it is also suitable for gatherings with a cup of tea.

Pie with canned fish – ingredients

  • For the dough
  • Milk – ½ cup.
  • Oil – 100
  • Salt – ¼ tsp.
  • Flour – 350-400 g.
  • Egg – 1 piece.
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • For filling
  • Saira (or any other fish) – 2 cans.
  • Eggs – 3 pieces.
  • Mayonnaise (or sour cream) – 3 tbsp.
  • Leek onion (white part) – 50 g.
  • Oil – for frying.

Pie with canned fish – preparation

Let’s start with the preparation of the dough. Beat the egg with salt, add melted butter and milk, mix. Add sifted flour together with baking powder and knead the dough.

Now let’s do the filling. Cut the onion into half rings, fry in oil. Drain the liquid from the can (if necessary, remove the bones), mash the fish with a fork, add to the onion, fry for a few minutes.

We grease the form (24 cm) with oil. Put the dough in the form. We make 1-2 cm sides. We spread the fried fish with onions on the dough.

We make the filling. Mix eggs and mayonnaise. Fill the cake with filling. Bake for 35-40 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
