Pie with mackerel Tenderness

Pie with mackerel “Tenderness” – ingredients
- For the dough:
- Kefir – 1 cup.
- Chicken egg – 2 pc.
- Flour – 1,5-2 cups.
- Oil – 3 tbsp.
- Salt – 0,5 tsp.
- Soda – 0,5 tsp
- For the fish filling:
- Canned fish (mackerel) – 1 can.
- Hard cheese – 100 g.
- Potato (small) – 1 pc.
- Greens – dill (can be frozen).
Mackerel pie recipe “Tenderness”
We prepare the dough for pie with mackerel “Tenderness”. Pour 1 cup of flour into a bowl and mix with salt. Pour kefir into another bowl, add soda to it and mix well – at this time, soda is extinguished by kefir, and kefir foams slightly. Pour the foamed kefir into a bowl with flour. Add the eggs there and start to mix gently. In the middle of mixing, add oil. Mix everything well. Then we begin to gradually pour the second glass of flour into the dough. At the same time, add flour carefully so that lumps do not form. You need to knead the dough until it is similar in consistency to thick sour cream. The dough is ready, set it aside for 15 minutes, while we prepare the filling.
The filling for a pie made from this dough can be the most diverse – both sweet and unsweetened. Cabbage is ideal. But in our case, we prepare the filling from canned fish and cheese.
Drain the oil from the canned mackerel, but not completely. Mash the fish with a fork. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Approximately, 100 grams is enough, but it is to taste. Now rub raw potatoes on a coarse grater, add greens to it. Mix fish, cheese and potatoes.
We will bake ours pie with mackerel “Tenderness”. Pour half of the dough onto the baking sheet, spread the filling evenly on the dough and cover the top with the second half of the dough. The top of the cake can be smeared with yolk.
In the upper layer of the dough, we make several punctures so that the cake does not crack during baking.
Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Place in the oven pie with mackerel “Tenderness” and bake for 30-40 minutes (in the middle of the baking process, reduce the temperature to 180).
