Pike cutlets with sauce

Very tender and juicy pike cutlets with sauce.

Fish dishes are very useful and you want to diversify your menu with them. Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers a simple recipe pike cutlet with sauce. Of all fish cutlets, pike cutlets are very spicy and aromatic.

Mashed potatoes or rice are very good as a side dish. Pike cutlets with sauce can be served for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients for cooking pike cutlets with sauce:

  • For cutlets:
  • pike fillet – 900 g.
  • chicken eggs – 1 pcs.
  • onion – 2 pcs.
  • garlic – to taste.
  • honey – 1 tsp
  • salt, pepper – to taste.
  • flour – to taste.
  • fat – 150 g.
  • oil – to taste.
  • For the sauce:
  • homemade mayonnaise – 2 tbsp.
  • sour cream 15% – 2 tbsp.
  • pickled cucumbers – 1 pcs.
  • dill – 2 sprigs.
  • lemon juice – 1 tsp.
  • garlic – 1 clove.
  • salt – to taste.
  • pepper – to taste.

Preparation of pike cutlets with sauce:

Wash the pike fillet and dry it with a paper towel. Pass through a meat grinder on a fine grate twice.

Peel the onion and cut it into four parts. Pass it through a meat grinder. We also grind lard in a meat grinder and add to minced meat. Garlic, salt, pepper, egg and honey are also added to minced meat. Mix everything well.

Forming pike cutlets roll them in flour with hands dipped in water or oil. Fry on both sides until ready, so that a blush is formed.

We put the cutlets in a pan, pour a little water (about 1/4 cup), cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. The cutlets will steam a little and become tender and soft.

Prepare the sauce: mix mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, lemon juice, grated cucumber, chopped dill, salt and ground pepper in a bowl.

Serve meatballs with sauce.
