Pliatsok Fantasy with cherries – ingredients

  • For bіskvіtu:
  • Eggs – 7 pieces.
  • Sugar – 1 cup.
  • Flour – 5 tbsp.
  • Cocoa – 2 tablespoon
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • For the nut cake:
  • Chopped nuts – 250 g.
  • Squirrels – 5 pieces.
  • Sugar – 1 cup.
  • Honey – 1 tbsp.
  • Starch – 1 tbsp.
  • Baking powder – 2 tsp.
  • For the cream:
  • Milk – 1,5 glasses.
  • Vanilla sugar – 15 g.
  • Sugar – 160 g.
  • Yolks – 5 pieces.
  • Starch – 3 tbsp.
  • Oil – 200
  • Cherry jam.
  • Cherries from syrup.

Sponge cake

Separate the whites from the yolks, beat until stiff foam. Add sugar one spoon at a time, beating well each time. Add yolks one by one, beat at the lowest speed of the mixer.

Mix flour with cocoa and baking powder, sift to egg mass. Carefully knead with a spatula.

Cover the bottom of the mold (25×35) with parchment, spread the dough, level it. Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Cool, cut into 2 thin cakes.

Nut cake

Beat the egg whites to a stable foam, add sugar one spoon at a time, beat well each time, at the end of the beating, add liquid honey, beat briefly again. As a result, we get a thick, homogeneous, shiny mass.

Add starch and baking powder, carefully mix with a spatula, add nuts, mix again.

We transfer the dough into a form covered with parchment, bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.


Add egg yolks and starch to ½ cup of milk, mix well so that there are no lumps.

Put the rest of the milk on the fire, add sugar and vanilla sugar, bring to a boil. Add the previously prepared mixture to the boiling milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Transfer the cooked cream to a ceramic dish, cover with cling film so that it touches the entire surface of the cream, leave to cool.

Beat the butter to a soft creamy mass, add the boiled cream one spoon at a time, beat until smooth.

We collect the braid

Lubricate the lower cake well with cherry jam, spread cherries from the syrup on top (without pits), spread half of the cream, level it. We cover it with a nut cake, spread it with jam, lay out cherries, spread it with the rest of the cream, level it, cover it with the top cake, press it down slightly. We decorate the square according to our taste and discretion.
